When selecting a striking image for using in our publicity for the 'Shakespeare's Women' exhibition, this moody and sensual portrait of Peggy Ashcroft as Juliet was an obvious choice. The painting is by Ethel Leonitine Gabain and is on loan from the RSC Collection.
